Sometimes the right photo has visually distracting elements or isn’t ideal for mainstream sensibilities. In the case of these book covers, my photos were right for the look I wanted, but the models have extensive tattooing. Since I didn’t want to toss good concepts, I got rid of the tattoos instead. (Also, in the case of the Eternals cover, I wanted to remove any possibility of courting an Amazon cover issue with the bottom curve of the model’s bare breast.)
