Animations are, by far, most fun collaboration we do. After we storyboard the general action and decide the overall style of the animation and its elements, Mich gets to play with the Wacom and draw the pieces Jim will bring to life with his magic Flash fingers. Animations are, moreso than any of the other professional work we do, a true collaboration and balance of our skills.

This piece wass a holiday animation introduction to the Gloji site. We used music created by the client and expanded upon their initial suggestions in keeping with the fun, whimsical mood. Mich drew the pieces by hand and gave them over to Jim, who imbued them with motion and personality by having the baby bottles jump and spin.

Stone Mountain Iris Canvas

By Mich Fisher | August 10, 2007

Product Design: Stone Mountain Iris canvas

This is the most recent product the artists at the Stone Mountain studio have created from my design. The first piece of the Arts Collection: Art Nouveau Series, Iris is a stained-glass themed decorative canvas made of mineral ceramic with raised elements to mimic the origin material painted in lush, sheer colors with a soft satin gloss to provide a more realistic appearance.

All About Emily Coloring Book

By Mich Fisher | August 5, 2007

Custom Book: All About Emily cover

Custom Book: All About Emily center

This is the cover and inside centerfold page of a custom coloring book I created, All About Emily. I drew line sketches using family photos to duplicate the look of a traditional coloring book and create a one-of-a-kind gift. I am currently working on a full-color picture book using the same method as the All About Emily cover.

Art Deco Frame and Family Portrait

By Mich Fisher | June 6, 2007

Art and Illustration: Art Deco Frame and Family Portrait

This Art Deco frame was created as a screen frame for the Art and Illustration section of my main portfolio. Inside it is a cartoon drawing of an old family picture, which will eventually be part of a picture book I’m creating for the whole Mooney family.

Stone Mountain Tuscany Canvas

By Mich Fisher | February 18, 2007

Product Design: Tuscany canvas

In addition to being a partner in Plastic Hassle, I design products (along with web pages and collateral) for a tile company called Stone Mountain Distributors. They enlist talented sculptors and painters to create my designs in clay, craft molds of the original sculptures, and paint the finished pieces with remarkable quality and detail. This design is an addition to the popular Tuscany collection, created to offer a one-piece decorative for the cooktop backsplash.

Naked Patriotism: The Passion of Mel Gibson

By Mich Fisher | February 14, 2006

Naked Ptriotism: The Passion of Mel Gibson

This is a comic strip originally created for the Plastic Hassle cooperative. We were discussing what Jesus would think about Mel Gibson’s production company marketing items such as Passion of the Christ Nails and this is the result of my vision of Jesus’ imaginary visit to Mel.
